Thanks for visiting

A few notes for everyone:

I am starting a series of articles talking about funding inequalities and economy of scale within Illinois public libraries. The first piece is posted under “The Radical Purpose of Illinois Library Consortia.” I use data to help tell the story and provide supporting evidence of the huge benefits library resource sharing consortia have for library sustainability and benefits to the library user.

The second piece is “Illinois Library Resource Sharing: The Three Pillars” which uses publicly available data to show how the cooperation between libraries in the form of resource sharing consortium are the engine powering equal access to library collections in the state.

Also, the Illinois Library Association’s blog ILA Connector is being sunset as the new membership blog ILA Voices launches. I have archived several posts from Connector here for safekeeping. I will continue to write pieces here on this site and submit to ILA Voices.
